Privacy policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026.
In short: your game stays on your device. No account, no cookies from the publisher. Anonymous audience measurement counts launches, so we can see how many people play; you can turn it off in the settings (OPT button). No ad is forced on you: an ad only loads if you choose to watch one to get a boost. Purchases are paid with Stripe, Valve, Apple or Google.
This policy covers the elorush.fr website (game and wiki), the Steam version and the iOS and Android apps. Controller: Mickael Rébeau (Dreeman), publisher of the game (legal notice), reachable at [email protected].
What stays on your device
Section titled “What stays on your device”| Data | Where | Sent to the publisher? |
|---|---|---|
| Game save and settings | browser (localStorage), local file of the Steam app, mobile app storage | no |
| Light or dark theme of the wiki | browser (localStorage) | no |
| Device language | read at startup to pick French or English | only the chosen language (fr or en), with audience measurement |
| “Audience measurement” choice | browser or app (localStorage, outside the save) | no: it only decides whether measurement is sent |
Once loaded, the game is playable offline. Fonts, sounds and images are served by elorush.fr (no Google Fonts). The ad network is only contacted for rewarded ads (see below). Audience measurement, when it is on and there is a network, goes to PostHog; otherwise it is skipped and the game continues.
Export / Import (≡ menu) copies your save as text: it only leaves your device if you paste it somewhere. Erase everything deletes the save. Uninstalling the app or clearing the site data does the same.
Website hosting
Section titled “Website hosting”To send you the pages, the server receives, like any website, technical information (IP address, browser, requested page). The ELORUSH server keeps no visit logs. The host, Railway Corp. (United States), may process this information to route requests and protect its infrastructure, under its privacy policy.
Audience measurement
Section titled “Audience measurement”To see how many people play, and on which version, the game sends PostHog (PostHog Inc., hosted in the European Union, PostHog’s privacy policy):
- a random identifier, created on the device and stored in its
localStorage(not a cookie, not an account); - the platform: website, Steam, iOS or Android;
- the language (French or English), the game version, and whether a save already existed;
- the launch, the actual start of a game, the end of a session (duration, capped at 24 h), a checkmate, and finishing the game;
- on the website, a click on the support link;
- in the shop: opening it, a boost obtained (by ad, gems or perk), a time warp, the product purchased (no amount or payment data).
This data goes through a relay on the elorush.fr server (the /relay address), which forwards it to PostHog without keeping it.
IP addresses are truncated by PostHog before they are stored. There is no screen recording,
no click tracking, no resale, and this data is not used for advertising. Website, Steam, iOS and Android events
are separated by platform.
Measurement is on by default and turns off in the game: OPT › Privacy › Audience measurement. “Erase everything” does not turn it back on. Clearing the site data, or reinstalling the app, deletes the identifier.
Support link (website)
Section titled “Support link (website)”The website’s start screen offers a “Buy me a coffee” link to Buy Me a Coffee, a third-party service. The game sends it nothing: the page only opens if you click, and Buy Me a Coffee’s privacy policy then applies.
Rewarded ads
Section titled “Rewarded ads”In the shop, you can choose to watch an ad to get a production boost. Nothing loads until you open the shop, and no ad shows without your click. There are none on Steam.
- Website: Google AdSense (Google Ireland Ltd). On first use, Google’s privacy message asks for your consent to personalised ads and Google cookies; you can change it in the shop (“Ad privacy choices”).
- iOS and Android apps: Google AdMob. On Android and in the European Economic Area, Google’s consent form shows before the first ad; you can change your choice in the shop. On iOS, the app does not ask for tracking permission: ads are not targeted using the advertising identifier.
Google then processes technical data (IP address, device, advertising ID on Android unless you turned it off, interactions with the ad) under its privacy policy and how Google uses data. The publisher only receives aggregated statistics (number of ads watched, revenue).
Purchases
Section titled “Purchases”Purchases are described in the terms of sale. The publisher never sees your payment method.
- Website: payment goes through Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, Ireland), which receives your email address
and payment details (Stripe’s privacy policy). Stripe keeps, for the publisher, the product
bought, the amount, the date, your email address and your purchase code (created at random on your device, it brings
your purchases back). This data is kept for 10 years, as accounting rules require. The elorush.fr server (the
/apiaddress) relays requests to Stripe without keeping them. - Steam: gems are sold as Steam microtransactions. The elorush.fr server receives a ticket from your Steam session to check your Steam ID, and sends it to Valve with the order; it keeps nothing. Perks are DLC sold by Valve.
- App Store and Google Play: purchases are paid and processed by Apple or Google.
- On the device, the save keeps your gems, your perks and the numbers of transactions already delivered (so nothing is ever delivered twice). The game also keeps the number of tips you gave, to thank you.
Platform services
Section titled “Platform services”These services are provided by the platforms, under their own responsibility; the publisher receives none of this data.
- Steam (Valve Corporation): if you play on Steam, Valve manages your account, achievements, playtime and the copy of your save in Steam Cloud. See Valve’s privacy policy.
- Game Center (Apple, iOS): if you are signed in to Game Center, your achievements are recorded there. See Apple’s privacy policy.
- Google Play Games (Google, Android): if you sign in to Play Games, your achievements are recorded there. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Support: the “Supporter Pack” DLC (Steam) and the app tips (App Store, Google Play) are paid and processed entirely by Valve, Apple or Google.
- Device backups (iCloud, Google) may include the app’s data, depending on your system settings.
Emails
Section titled “Emails”If you write to [email protected], your address and message are only used to answer you. They are deleted at the latest one year after the last exchange.
Children
Section titled “Children”The game is suitable for all ages. Audience measurement is anonymous: no profile, and it can be turned off in the settings. It is not used to identify a particular child. Ads only show on request, and purchases go through the platforms’ parental controls (Steam, Apple, Google) or a payment method on the website.
Your rights
Section titled “Your rights”You can turn audience measurement off in the settings, or delete the identifier by clearing the site data or reinstalling the app. The identifier is not linked to your name: the publisher cannot find a person from it. For emails sent to [email protected], you have the rights of access, rectification and erasure provided by the GDPR. You can also contact the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
Changes
Section titled “Changes”If audience measurement, ads or purchases change (for example online save sync), this page will be updated and the date above will change.
